Instructional Design Project
Throughout graduate school I chose a central focus (idea) for an Instructional Design (ID) project (portfolio). This idea was to create training for Olive Garden employees. My chosen topic was "Properly portioning an Olive Garden salad." Please see each of the resources below to see that particular area of my project.
Instructional Design Proposal
This Instructional Design (ID) proposal is the basis of my project and acted as the foundation for all my other projects that were associated with this mentioned topic.
Sections in this proposal include an Executive Summary, Table of Contents, Statement of the Problem, Needs Assessment, Task Analysis, Instructional Objectives & Strategies, Instructional Design & Development materials, Formative Evaluation, References, and Appendices.

Podcasts
For one of my course projects, I created several podcasts, which include an instructional podcast and an interview podcast.

Instructional Design Website
As part of this portfolio project, I designed a training website to instruct learners on how to portion an Olive Garden Salad.
Project description
The major project of the class was to create an instructional website with text, graphics, and interactive multimedia. Once the website was created, several evaluations were performed in order to deem the website as an effective instructional website. The information represented on this website was in relation to Olive Garden Salad portioning.
Video Overview
For this project, I had created a video overview to introduce my classmates to my project. While you cannot take the smile sheet survey at the end of the video, I felt this still was a great resource for users to review to get a quick introduction on the purpose of my site.
Please note: In this video overview (tutorial) below, there is a link that appears on the screen, as well as some unfamilar screens that I refer to as "indexes." These links and indexes were part of my old website, which was stored on the school server at the time of recording. Please use the website link below this tutorial to access this website while watching the overview.
A video tutorial or overview of my website is included below.

Evaluation
Several evaluation results are listed below for user reference of this project, it's progression, and final evaluation.
Needs analysis
A needs analysis was performed in order to determine the needs of the learner's of this potential website.
The results and needs analysis is available by clicking the link below.

Task analysis
A task analysis, or "storyboard" was mapped out to show the website structure in detail. This task analysis demonstrates the task flow of the salad portioning process, which will also demonstrate the "flow" of the website in sequential order.
The task analysis chart is available by clicking on the link below.

Accessiblity test
An accessibility test was performed in order to deem this website "accessible" to all users. These tests were to determine if the website can be effectively navigated by a keyboard, can be read by a screen reader, able to be read easily, or any other instance where a user who has disabilities can view the website.
Click on the link below to view the accessibility test results.

Usability test
The usability test helps determine if the website is easy to use and navigate, if it is aesthetically appealing to the user, was able to be read and understood easily, and if it met the instructional objectives and goals of the website for the employees.
Click on the link(s) below to access the usability test results.

Presentation evaluation
The presentation evaluation, or "smile sheet" was distributed to members of the EDCI 56600 class of the summer term of the year 2013. This evaluation included questions about effectiveness of website instruction, whether the presentation was effective, if the online atmosphere was conducive to learning, and additional comments from the participants.

Instructional Technology Vision
For my Instructional Technology Leadership course, I created a "Technology Vision" to support the need for an Olive Garden training website. Hypothetically, this could have been introduced to a Board of Director's for approval.
Click the link below to view the printed version of this vision (proposal) in PDF format.
Learning Space Design Plan
To support my training intiative and project, I created a "Learning Space Design Plan." This learning space design plan is similar to a grant, which expresses the need for the learning area, items needed, a projected budget, and other supporting documentation.
